In Beijing's Yuetan park, a royal ceremony was held to worship the moon. Traditional dances are performed to show respect to the moon. The dance dates back to the Zhou dynasty, more than 2-thousand years ago. In Yichun City in Jiangxi Province, a firework show was on display. At the end of the performance, 2-thousand lanterns were sent up to the sky, symbolizing people's best wishes.

In Southwest China's Nanning city, a huge moon cake with a diameter of 2 meters was on display in a local park, attracting many visitors to enjoy the savory sweet.
