It is undeniable that new immigrants have the privilege to try a new and different lifestylethat has the potential to deviate remarkably from their origin, and this unique experience hasattracted a great number of participants.

Apart from this, all immigrants have also brought their individual culture to the new land, which enhances the cultural diversity of the nation. Furthermore, all migrants not only taketheir skills, but also their fortune with them and as a result, a large amount of money has beeninvested into the destination country. For example, a large portion of infrastructure funding inJapan is from their migrants' investment.

  篇二:移居外国的人应不应该接受当地的文化

Nowadays, more and more people would like tomove to other countries and settle down for betternatural environment, more educationalopportunities, etc. Whether these new settlersshould accept new countries’ values and life styleshas become a public focus. Before presenting myown opinion, I think it is essential to analyze bothsides of the issue.

People in favor of acceptance to new values claim that once you live in a newenvironment, you have to adapt yourself to the new community. If not, you would feelpsychologically isolated. Moreover, getting yourself in the new environment, you candevelop a better career, for your employer will consider you to be an adaptable person. Andyour family also can get themselves involved in the new community. Last but not least, as youaccept the new values and life styles, you can learn something new besides your own culture.

Those who are against, however, argue that if the settlers accept new values and culture, they are considered to betray their own countries, so they no longer belong to their hermore, new settlers are supposed to keep their own styles. For instance, their eatinghabits, religion believes, and so on. Last of all, it is a good way to preserve their tradition andculture, especially the ethnic, who are in minority of people.

Personally speaking, I tend to side with the former view. Though people should have theirunique styles, it is crucial to adjust to the new environment and community. An old sayingjust illustrates my point: When in Rome, do as the Roman.
