Jane Eyre is truly a book worth of reading for teenagers and adults. It told a touching story, with a tragic but happy ending. I am deeply affected by the unfortunate and complex background about Jane Eyre. As I am still a child, it might be hard for me to understand the intricate information about Jane Eyre and her family.

简爱英文读后感

The author, Charlotte Bronte, was one of the three sisters who were very famous novelists in the 19th century. Jane Eyre's plots were based on the original life of Charlotte herself, therefore creating a realistic story. The three sisters' family was poor, and their mother passed away by lung cancer when her children were still very young, and their father had to take the job of raising the whole family. The three sisters were reinforced (forced or enforced)to be educated in a charity school. Due to the unbearable state of the school, Charlotte and Emily's two sisters died, thus giving a grief pain to the sisters. To survive, three sisters went out to take part in tutors one by one, however none of them like the job, especially Charlotte. Still, the experience has given her the basics of planning the story of Jane Eyre. Finally, she gained people's attention by publishing Jane Eyre. It was a miracle. She achieved the public's attention soon the book was pressed, and she amazingly only took one year to finish it.

The book used the first person method of writing to depict Jane Eyre. The story started with a direct story about Jane being bullied by his older brother, John. The author probably wanted to give the readers a deep impression about the mishaps suffered by Jane in her youth. Then, Mr. Brocklehurst appeared, and took Jane to Lowood School. She grew up in that school, but she never liked the school of it's rigid lifestyle and a hard environment. Evidently, the mail she she sent out to look for a job has an answer. She was being asked to be a tutor in a family. This led to a turning point in her life.

She met many people in the family. Like Mrs. Fairfax, Adele, the crazy woman, and most important of all, Mr. Rochester. Mr. Rochester's words and is temper is hard to guess, and he often travels around the world. But, when Mr. Rochester went back and met Jane Eyre, he did not leave again for a month. After a period of time, Mr. Rochester and Jane Eyre began to fall in love with each other, and they married. However, in the marriage, a stranger broke the progression and asserted that Mr. Rochester already had a wife and they were not divorced. According to the laws at that time, people are not allowed to remarry if they did not break apart with his ex-wife. Indeed, the ex-wife of Mr. Rochester was the crazy woman. In fact, the real thing behind it was that Mr. Rochester was married many years ago, but he soon found out that his wife was a maniac. He felt completely distressed, and Jane Eyre was his hope. Jane felt aghast, and she left Mr. Rochester alone. She went out to other places, and ran out of food and water. She was picked up by people, and destiny brought the Jane's brothers and sisters together! Finally, she recalled her once dearest person, but it was already too late. What happened was that right after the departure of Jane, the crazy woman burned down the whole citadel and she jumped off from the roof. Mr. Rochester survived in the disaster, but his body was burnt from head to foot. Though it was truly very sad, a book can always achieve its happy ending. Jane found Mr. Rochester at last, and they shall never be apart anymore.

I feel that this is a story of real feelings, souls and values. People should really read this book, except for children who are too young, because I believe that this book can be too hard for them to read. Enjoy!
